Authorized dealers buy real 3M film through 3M's supply chain, not unmarked rolls of unknown film relabeled as ceramic. What goes on your windows is what the box says it is.
Installer training
3M film performs the way it is rated only when it is installed correctly — clean edges, no trapped debris, micro edge at the glass line. Authorized dealer status means the installers have been trained on the product.
